CSSD Debuts Virtual Interviews for Parents and Caregivers

The Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department (CSSD) is excited to announce the arrival of one-on-one virtual interviews with Child Support Specialists. Now, parents and caregivers can meet with CSSD personnel online and receive efficient assistance from the comfort of their home or their current setting.

The application of virtual interviews is being made to better assist customers and remove the barriers of distance, travel expense or work schedules that may limit their ability to attend in-person interviews and receive the help they need.

Scheduling a virtual interview is simple and easy. Customers can find their local Child Support Services Division Office, choose the “virtual interview” option and select a date and time for the meeting. After the meeting is scheduled, a meeting link is emailed to the customer.

CSSD suggests virtual interview participants to arrive at the meeting five minutes before the scheduled interview time. If the participant is unavailable or fails to appear on screen, an attempt by the Child Support Specialist will be made to reach out by email and/or telephone number.
